Ebden

Relaxed comfortable living matched with elegantly handcrafted style.

Ebden
The Ebden residence is focused on relaxed, comfortable living and highly handcrafted style.

The couple’s brief was for a new home that offered security, low-maintenance living and discreet privacy, but which also reflected their passion for travel and wine. High-quality materials throughout the house was one of the brief core requirements: inclusive of meticulously laid, hand-blended Daniel Robertson brickwork, and a Spanish slate roof and a breathtaking wine cellar. Specifically designed for that room, the temperature and bottle position was carefully considered to ensure its required functionality.

The challenge presented was to achieve high sustainability outcomes, as well as include the highly detailed components featured entirely throughout.

Cutting edge, market leading windows feature motorised awnings which provide exceptional insulation qualities with a classic style. They were strategically placed for mechanical performance and to circulate Melbourne’s south-westerly breezes throughout the house. This job required an extremely high attention to detail and craftsmanship from the on-site hand forged limestone fireplaces to the architraves and recessed ceilings.

By perfectly blending our client’s love for travel with smart functionality, Ebden delivers a welcoming home to make life more comfortable.

The home’s generous 1,300sq m block is highly functional by its clever positioning across a single level, floor plan. With clear lines of sight into each living area, the garden centres on a square pond and bench seat beneath a sunny pergola, designed as a quiet place to reflect or read a book.
