This 1950’s house had character and was solidly built, so it was decided to work with the existing structure and create something unique, rather than demolish and rebuild.

The character was preserved by reusing many existing features and materials. A new section was built from dark painted shadow clad, and this was deliberately made differently in line with current restoration practices. Internal spaces were reconfigured to meet the needs of a contemporary family. Outside, a double garage, extensive decking, swimming pool and beautifully landscaped gardens complete the home.
